Missobrown Artist and Berklee Alumni, Kaovanny aka 'La Caoba', is a fusion in her existence. Representing a hybrid, spanglish generation, she seamlessly fuses sounds and movement from her Latinx upbringing, as well as the Black artists who raised her across several musical genres to give a Caribbean, Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B fusion in her music. Coming from a lineage of bold authors, Kaovanny speaks to the dualities in culture, religion, identity, sexuality and everything she’s learning that it is and isn’t. Although performance is her main medium, Kaovanny is a creative entrepreneur, certified diver & educator with a focus on healing, developing and advancing black and brown communities through natural medicine, sports, water and music. She has toured Colombia, Brazil and the US while hosting workshops by day and performing at night. Her latest single 'War Cry' and 'Tres' EP can be found on all streaming platforms. Kaovanny is currently on her 4th tour, internationally promoting her upcoming first album called 'Agua' from now until the end of the summer 2023.
